Game Day Guidelines
The following guidelines apply to amateur athletics, specifically Lincolnton Optimist game days, during the 2020-2021 basketball season and are subject to change per additional guidance surrounding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

Crowds & Attendance
Due to NC restrictions on large indoor gatherings, fan attendance during games will be limited to 25 people. Therefore, each player participant will be given 1 ticket for a parent or guardian to attend the game. This ticket entitles the parent or guardian entry into the gymnasiums on game days. Gate entry fees will still be required on game days.
Furthermore, fans may not enter the scheduled gymnasium until the appropriate time and after sanitization from the previous game has occurred. All participants and fans must enter and exit the scheduled gymnasiums promptly without lingering or gathering indoors. No congregating before, during, or after games.
All fans and participants must adhere to social distancing guidelines and signage provided by LOC.
All fans and participants must have their temperature checked prior to entering the facilities. Anyone showing signs of fever will not be admitted into the facilities.
Masks Required
All fans, parent, or guardians not participating in the games must wear cloth masks in accordance with North Carolina guidelines. While not playing, participants must maintain 6 ft social distancing space on the bench and wear a mask. Masks are not required while playing.
Sanitization
In order to provide a safe environment for all participants during the 2021 basketball season, volunteers of the Lincolnton Optimist Club will be providing touchpoint cleaning throughout the day on game days. Additionally, after each game, volunteers will work to quickly disinfect and sanitize common areas and seating within each gymnasium.
We ask for your cooperation and understanding this year to help make the 2021 season safe and successful!
